Mantra is often referred to as medicine for various human afflictions; music is the "spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down." Not only this, but singing impacts breath and heart rate which can lead to focus and relaxation. Group singing is a way to syncronize through sound and movement which can lead to more relational empathy, gratitude and intimacy.

Join Tara and Sparrow in sangha (community) as we explore all things mantra in order to integrate it more firmly into practice as a tool for navigating life. Informal discussion and q and a will be combined with japa (repetition), kirtan (group chanting) and meditation. Discover the meaning of Sanskrit words, the feeling of sounds and, most importantly, put those beautiful mala beads of yours to good use! ;)
